Six questions that cover 90% of the support tickets we get. Read these first.
Most deposits go pending while waiting for on-chain confirmations. Check the block explorer for your tx hash — once it reaches the required confirmation count (shown in the Networks table above), it auto-credits. If it's confirmed on-chain but still pending after 30 minutes, our risk engine is likely reviewing it. Open a ticket with the tx hash and we'll clear it within 2 hours.
Sometimes. If the wrong network is supported by Exbit for that asset (e.g., you sent USDT on TRC-20 to an ERC-20 address), we can usually recover it with a cross-chain reimbursement — typical SLA is 3-5 business days and a $25 fee. If the network isn't supported at all (e.g., you sent to an unsupported L2), recovery is not guaranteed. Submit a recovery request with your tx hash, source network, and destination address.
Some networks (XRP, XLM, EOS, ATOM, BNB Beacon, TON) share a single deposit address across all users and use a memo/tag to identify your account. Send without the memo and your funds land in a shared pool — recoverable, but it takes 3-7 business days and a manual audit. Always copy both the address and the memo exactly as shown on your deposit page.
Below the minimum, the on-chain transaction fee we'd have to pay to move your deposit into cold storage exceeds the deposit itself. We still credit dust deposits — but they are processed in a weekly batch (not instant) and require identity verification, since dust is commonly used for address-poisoning attacks.
Third-party deposits (where the source wallet doesn't belong to the account holder) are flagged by our Travel Rule compliance system. Small amounts (< $1k) from known exchanges usually credit normally. Larger or unverified third-party deposits are held pending a source-of-funds check — usually cleared in 24-48 hours with a screenshot of the source account.
In Settings → Security → Withdrawal Allowlist, click "Add Address", paste the address and label, then confirm via email + 2FA. There's a 24-hour cool-down before first use. Once allowlisted, withdrawals to that address skip the per-withdrawal SMS/2FA prompts. You can enable strict mode so that withdrawals to non-allowlisted addresses are fully blocked.
